For more than 25 years, I've served in community, educational, and advocacy support and counseling roles. I earned my Bachelor's in Biological Sciences at Stanford and Master of Social Work in Children, Youth, and Families at USC. Using my Pupil Personnel Services Credential, I provided school-based mental health services and supported IEPs/ERMHS in San Carlos School District for 4 years, and I empathize with parents, children, and the complexities of both. I'm fascinated by who we are as individuals, how we deal with life in each of its many phases, and where we find meaning, balance, and connection. 

As a second generation Chinese/Taiwanese-American, I grew up in rural New Jersey, and I am fluent in conversational Mandarin. I love hiking the Bay Area's open space preserves, taking in the sight, sound, and scent of the ocean along the Pacific coast, and enjoying a big, deep laugh every day. I'm an avid geocacher, reader, boardgamer, and foodie, and I spend my free time with my two adult daughters, one adult son, and our two puppies. I try to bring a warm smile, my down-to-earth personality, and an open heart everywhere I go.
